HOMESTAY MELAKA BERDAFTAR: TAMBAK PAYA

INTRODUCTION

Kampung Tambak Paya got its name after a reclamation works done on a swampy land in 1949 to make ay for the pupils to reach the nearby school, which has been built on a 'wakaf land' donated by Hajah Mariam Binti Kanto. Originally, the kampung was known as Kampung Batu 9 and was opened by Tn. Hj. Moksin bin Karto Tarono and his colleagues.
